In rare archive footage, 'Desert Victory' tells the story of the Desert
Rats. These were the heroic men of the Eighth Army who, on the 23rd October
1942, left the holes that they had scratched in the rock and sand of the
western desert and moved forward to destroy Rommel's advance. This
remarkable film provides a fascinating insight into the tactics and
personalities of the Desert Rats as they made their critical defence of
Suez.
